Gilles Beaugrand Gold and Silver Studio
The Gilles Beaugrand Gold and Silver Studio is recognized across North
America for its elegant and original designs. Established in 1932, the
precious-metal workshop has received both Old and New World honours during
its 70 year history. In 1983 Gilles Beaugrand joined Desmarais & Robitaille,
and today the studio continues its tradition of creating fine ecclesiastical
articles while it expands its secular parameters.
An exact replica of the famous Stanley Cup has been fashioned in the
Beaugrand workshop, along with the prestigious Maurice "Rocket" Richard
Trophy and several Grand Prix Formula 1 trophies.
Artworks bearing the Beaugrand signature are found today in museum
collections, including that of the Vatican. Gilles Beaugrand chalices have
been presented to Pope Pius XII and Pope John-Paul II. The silver studio has
also been privileged to represent Canada at two World Fairs.
Faultless handcrafting and meticulous attention to detail are hallmarks
of the Beaugrand Gold and Silver Studio. The skill and integrity of the
goldsmith combined with beautiful, genuine materials produce the exquisite
quality for which the studio is renowned.
Recently, Beaugrand's superb tulip chalice was named Best of Show in
Ministry & Liturgy's Visual Arts Awards. To
