Design for Liturgical Space
Desmarais & Robitaille entered the world of liturgical
design in 1909, and almost a century later our name is synonymous with
excellence and integrity. We have collaborated with hundreds of client
communities across the continent in design projects which created or
reshaped churches and chapels, monasteries and cathedrals.
In offering professional liturgical consultation to
clients who are constructing or renovating places of worship, we are
specially concerned that liturgical values be given priority over the many
competing areas of valid importance. Part of our role is to help communities
become knowledgeable about their worship traditions and how these will
affect the quality of the environment.
Desmarais & Robitaille's design services include concept
proposals for space and layout, the creation of interior colour schemes and
the design of furnishings, appointments and artworks for sacred space.
Our goal is to create holistic worship environments which graciously
support community prayer, and to achieve beauty and quality in each object
designed for liturgical use.
